It was an extremely pleasant and successful trip we all had.

Bhoj Vasa could have been improved in terms of accommodation. We understand there was not much choice there.

my trip to India was an outstanding experience of any kind. Especially the organisation by Team Grey Eagles did better than mx expectations could have ever been. There was not a single moment where something went out of control. Sanjay Sharma had thought on everything and was the most kind guide together with Padma Aon Prakasha.

In relation to the accomodations I understand that we’ve got the most perfect available hotels in every region. The hotel in the Himalaya was not really charming and very cold but also here I know it was the best we could get there.

As for the Dunagiri Resort Hotel, I think it should be mentioned that food was okay but serving us for 5 days mostly the same things was not so nice, though it is not a big complaint as I personally could not really eat at this time.

Also at the Dunagiri our meditation room, the pyramid, was internally painted all in gold over the most disgusting mold. I did not feel well at all in this pyramid and for whatever reasons this came from, I would therefore not choose a journey coming back to this place. I felt so much lighter when we finally left Dunagiri, a place, where obviously all others felt well. Did they?

I do not know if the dip in the river Ganges was really a good idea thoug I really apreciated it. I can only say that the day after, when we came back to Delhi my digestion problems started and would not stop for 10 days. I only mention it timingwise as I was not afraid about the Ganges; it was a sacred ritual and therefore protected in some way, I feel.

The drivers were extraordinary good!

As for the domestic flights it should only be mentioned in advance that luggage weight is not the same as for international flights and maybe overweight has to be paid. Besided that all domestic flights were really nice.

I would always recommend Team Grey Eagles and here especially Sanjay Sharma for organising a tour in India.

All of my needs were met promptly, and his service exceeded my expectations. "No problem, I can do that" was his mantra. When I asked him to set up a side trip to several areas I was interested in visiting before the group arrived, his eye to price, quality, history, and places of local interest was impeccable. These Sanjay side trips were among the highlights of my trip.

Sanjay Sharma's infectious positivity kept the group hiking happily up rugged paths to visit ancient caves of Eastern masters. And when there was a dangerous traffic jam on a narrow lane overlooking a fathomless precipice, Sanjay jumped out and expertly detangled the traffic safely. The seemingly impossible situation was resolved in thirty minutes.

I definitely recommend booking the Grey Eagle Team as a group, or for private touring. You won't be disappointed or frustrated. You'll eat well, avoid illness, and you'll return home healthy and wiser.

My apologies for the delay in this much deserved “thank you” for all the great work and coordination you did for my trip with my wife, Barb, to India. I got home to a very busy schedule this last week and am just now digging out! Also thank you for our parting gift: we are “eating our way” through a bit more of India back at home.

We had a fantastic time in India in large part due to your great efforts at coordination/organization. Our tours in Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur were spot on regarding wonderful sights and very professional / knowledgeable / personable guides. Most importantly the guides adjusted well to our pace of wanting to enjoy each sight versus see more! A slower pace was much appreciated in all locations. We were not on a “check list” tour of seeing everything, but, enjoying each sight to the fullest.

Also we appreciated the fact that you checked in with us almost every day to assess our status. That was an added plus. Hence, Barb and I affectionately nick named you “Dad”! We knew you were always just a phone call away in case an issue arose. But we never had to ring as there were no issues.

An added plus was our driver Ajay (hope I spelled that correctly). He did a great job and despite a bit of a language barrier we communicated well. He has a great sense of humor and nicely tolerated our desire to take pictures all along the way. Barb thinks he should be a Formula 1 driver given his abilities to navigate the traffic chaos with a constant smile on his face!

I look forward to another trip to India someday. We would very much like you to be the coordinator again! We wish you the best success with your business!

We arrived on time, around 7:30am, tired but very happy to have been in your country, an unforgettable experience not only for the natural beauty of it and the magnificent palaces and places we visited but the kindness and warm welcoming people we met everywhere we went, always welcoming us with a smile and accommodating gestures. Many thanks indeed for a great trip. We had a really wonderful time.The Itinerary that you prepared for us worked very well - I had thought that it might be a bit busy, but it was fine, and we saw more than I thought was possible. The flowers and cake for our anniversary were a lovely touch.

The Amber Palace and Fatehpur Sikri where particularly fascinating. Jaipur is an extraordinary city - Davinder was an exceptional guide, very knowledgeable, he was keen for us to see as much as possible, but tailored the visit to our requirements.We missed the elephant ride as we were a little late out of bed (in spite of Raju's best efforts) and the queue was so long that we chose to drive to the amber fort instead.Raju (our driver) was first class, he drove well and was most professional, we felt very safe in spite of the traffic. - he also took us to see a bathing area 1hr from Jaipur which was v. interesting. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Our guide for the Fatephur Sikri (Nazim?) also did a really great job. The Taj Mahal was impressive and the early visiting time missed the queues. Manoj was very knowledgeable, and we had a great visit but he missed the Red Fort and dropped us off too early for lunch, which was a shame.
We very much enjoyed the Jai Mahal Palace - it has a real feeling of history, the service was first class, and the food was excellent. It is quite expensive, but I think that it offers value for money. It certainly is more interesting than the large chain hotels.I did not book the Radisson blue airport hotel through you, but it is very comfortable and efficient, and is an good choice for an early departure or late arrival.

Sorry its taken so long to reply to your email, but as you can imagine being away from home for so long things build up and needed attending to. You will also be pleased to know that I all most completely recovered and have nearly finished all my medication.So, first of all a VERY BIG thank you to you all for helping me get back to Delhi when I was ill. You and your team were fantastic and the Hotel in Delhi was really nice. It really was a shame that we had to cut short the trip at what was for us the most important part of the journey. The up side, if there is one is that we will just have to come back again !

As you know our trip was not trouble free, however you overcame those problems swiftly and professionally and we would prefer to only remember the positives of the trip of which there were so many. We loved India and its people, everybody we met were so hospitable and have taken tea with some lovely and very interesting people. The accommodation we used (apart from Kolkata) were all very nice and the food we had was very memorable for all the right reasons. (being big curry -or "gravy" fans !)

We have one last big favour to ask of you - please could you pass on our email (or forward his email to us) to Jay - the driver we had on the Udaipur to Agra section of the trip. He was such hard working and became a special friend and it was such a nice surprise when he met us at Delhi airport on the way home. We would also like to send some pictures to him of him on his Camel ride !

So, once again - thank you all - we will return to India again and we will use your services when we do.

The stay at the Gateway hotel in Surat and the transfers in between were exicuted well.

The most disappionting part of the trip was the wait at the Mumbai train station , at that part of the morning there are no decent facilities.

The train rides to and fro from Surat were very uncomfortable. We are not familliar with the terminology regarding the standard of seating on trains. In future a flight from Mumbai to Surat would be a better option.

We then moved on from Mumbai to Cochin on our last internal flight.In Cochin began our incredible land journey from Cochin back to Chennai.In Cochin, we were given a double dose of Shaji(our guide) and Shaji(driver).Both lived up to our delight!!! Shaji the tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable which made our brief tour there memorable.

My request for a single driver from Cochin to Chennai was a wise choice and the rep Shaji shone with incredible dedication and courtesy. Through his travel guidance, we were ushered safely with confidence and delight from destination to destination within Kerala and Tamil Nadu states all the way back to Chennai. He made the road journey extra special to us as a family and travellers in the quest for discovering India. Planning, hotel and travel arrangements etc were to our full satisfaction throughout our journey through India and was made special by many of the aforementioned representatives. The Xmas and New Years Eve functions were highly enjoyed by us as a family. Please pass on our appreciation to these individuals and worthy travel ambassadors for India. I travelled to Kerela with my Mom in Jan 2014. I reached out to Sanjay to help me with trip planning and reservations about 6 weeks prior to my trip. Sanjay made my trip so easy to plan , offering great choice and alternatives , kept in touch on a regular basis and ensured that we got things done in a timely manner to get the hotels I wanted as this was during peak season.

Upon arrival to Kerela my experience was nothing but perfect. All arrangement were wonderful. There was someone to receive me at the airport and all arrangement were perfect. The car was a very comfortable , driver was amazing too. He took care of making all my massage appointments, ensuring we had tickets for every activity we wanted to do, as well as took to to the perfect places to shop for spices, sarees etc. Each of the hotels were wonderful - just what I expected and more
I would highly recommend Sanjay and would not hesitate to give his reference to my friends and family

Hi Sanjay,

Thanks for arranging such a wonderful trip for us and my whole family enjoyed it except for few areas where you guys may need to know:

1. Driver – Experienced driver but lots of safety concern. He beats the rules all the time and very hasty in driving until at one time he had to argue with another driver when both vehicle came to a dead lock. It was frightening as the conversation was too heated and nasty which I do not want my kids to experience. He was on his phone 90% of his time driving and sometimes keying in short messages while driving. So many sudden brakes when his focus is not on the road. As a frequent traveller I would not recommend this driver at all to any tourist at all time. The only good thing about him is the punctuality. He was punctual all the time.

2. Hotel – This hotel maybe a 4 star 10 years ago but not anymore. The facilities are a bit run down but luckily the rooms are good. I would rate it 3 star the most. All the staff are helpful . A plus point to the hotel. There are no nearby attractions or shops where we can walk out and finish our time. We had to stay indoor even if we have ample of time.

3. Houseboat – Above average service by crew on board and we truly enjoyed the stay. The food on board was excellent. The only minus point is no hot shower on board. The water was freezing cold for a morning shower.

4. Activity – We were disappointed with the last minute notice of Kalari Payat. I am not sure if the show was not scheduled or the driver was just lazy to drive us 1 hour away for the show. We were asked to pay Rs550 each if we wish to see a package of Kalari Payat . Katakali dance and Mohini dance which we turned down and asked for a refund. He told us there is no standalone Kalari Payat show .

Our tour guide, Shinoj was excellent albeit not being fluent in English, he was a true gentleman and gave us professional service at all times.

The accommodation chosen was good (except Misty Mountain which was ok but for the damp which I assume was due to the wet weather) but all the other places were fantastic and we were all exceptionally pleased. The vehicle provided fulfilled our requirements and was very comfortable.

I have been home only 3 days and hit some very hot weather - 41degrees yesterday !

yes, we all thoroughly enjoyed the tour you arranged for us. There is nothing we can criticise. In particular we would like to give credit to Jeet the driver who escorted us - he is a terrific driver,was courteous and reliable.

Everything went very well.

We also enjoyed our stay in Darjeeling over Christmas and ended with four days in Kolkata.
